Revamping UI/UX Platform For
A Leading Digital Payments Company – Pine Labs
Brand Overview
Pine Labs is a popular Indian merchant platform designed to provide simplified fintech solutions for businesses and customers.
Their primary goal is to bridge the gap between brands and consumers by incorporating digital payment services into a single platform. With a strong vision to build a reliable commerce and fintech platform from Asia for brands worldwide, they place major emphasis on creating a fully secure payment gateway and come with various certifications.
The
Challenges
Content Management System (CMS): Their old website was static, built on PHP and Bootstrap, with no CMS. It was slow, hard to manage, and not user-friendly.
Backend System: The website’s backend system was previously in PHP, which made it difficult to handle the large traffic and slowed down the website's functioning.
Payment Gateway: They had multiple payment gateways with separate API integrations, which made the system complex, error-prone, and harder to manage.
SEO Strategy: Migrating all their existing webpages to a new page with a new design and blogs to a new server while keeping their SEO intact was a major challenge.
Bucket Connection: We used an Amazon S3 bucket as a centralized storage solution for all website assets, including photos, videos, and Lottie animations. This enabled better management of large volumes of media content across the website.
Pine Labs wanted a complete website revamp with an improved interface
Being the leading provider of India’s payment gateway systems for digital merchants, such as Point of Sale (POS) and others, Pine Labs had one goal: to simplify e-commerce transactions.
However, they faced several challenges on their website that hindered its effective performance. Thus, they decided to go for a complete website revamp and make it more user-centric.
The
Approach
Our approach was simple: to rebuild the website from scratch and make it truly user-centric. Thus, we decided that a website revamp would be the right way to go.
Everything from CMS, server migration, to animation, and payment gateways, our expert teams worked together to create a digital platform that is highly user-friendly and supports brand growth.
A wide range of tools were used in this process, such as NextJS, NodeJS, WordPress, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
The
Solutions
- Website revamp: We built a new high-speed website with MERN stack and CMS with WordPress integration, making it faster, easier to manage, and more user-focused.
- Animation: We transformed their static website into a dynamic one using advanced animation libraries like GSAP and Framer Motion. Animations were optimized for smooth performance. We applied mathematical easing functions for natural, realistic motion throughout the website.
- Deployment: Deployment was executed with the help of Nextjs and Node.js. While the website was on the development server, the IPs were blocked outside our network, keeping in mind that it should not appear in the Google search list. Then, when we migrated it to the main server and it was made publicly accessible.
- Website Responsiveness: Mobile-first design was implemented, which allowed the website to resize itself as per the user’s device. This gave improved layout flexibility.
- Design Flexibility: We integrated the website with Tailwind + SCSS, with animation libraries like GSAP and Framer Motion, which resulted in a scalable, customizable system with consistent styling.
- Website Testing: The website functionality was tested multiple times, including main server checks to confirm overall optimal performance.
- Template Pages: We added template pages, which made it easier to customize or duplicate the page as needed. This allowed them to show or hide components, reorder them with spacing control, switch color themes, and flip layouts (row/row-reverse).
- SEO: We successfully migrated more than 370 webpages, template pages, and more than 600 blogs with proper title tags, keeping their SEO unaffected.
- Payment Gateway: We handle the dedicated payment gateway page that securely processes transactions through our Node.js backend, ensuring compliance, reliability, and protection of user data. On the frontend, we provide validated, user-friendly forms, while on the backend, we validate requests, forward details securely, manage transaction states, and log errors for a seamless experience.
- Member Role: Role-based access was provided in the CMS (WordPress) platform to increase website security.
- ACF Schema: The website structure was built using the ACF Schema, and APIs were documented in the same scheme for consistency.
The
Impact
Previously, Pine Labs did not have a proper Content Management System (CMS) in place to effectively manage and run its website.
Our team of experts implemented a complete website revamp where the entire look and feel of their official website was changed. This was met with an overall positive feedback from Pine Labs.
It was observed that the website traffic increased drastically, followed by increased conversions. Our approach was simple: to make it user-centric and maximize performance. And it can be seen that the results speak for themselves.
